Travel Conditions The Austrail Flexi Pass is valid for unlimited travel in Economy/Red Kangaroo Service seats, for the applicable flexi days purchased, over a six month period, which starts on the day the pass is validated (first day of actual travel) A travel “day” is a period of 24 hours, or less, from the scheduled departure time of a service. Eg, an overnight trip 2100/0900 is regarded as one “day”. Travel can not commence on the evening prior to the first “day” and the final journey needs to be completed before midnight on the last “day” Upgrade to a sleeping berth/first class seat is allowed. Surcharges are applicable The Austrail Flexi Pass is available for travel on rail services operated by Great Southern Railway, Queensland Rail and CountryLink. The pass is not available for travel on any Queensland Rail Citytrain service or the Savannahlander, however is available for use on the Kuranda Scenic Railway and The Gulflander. The pass canbe used on all CityRail services operated by NSW State Rail. The Austrail Flexi Pass is only available to foreign Passport holders. Travel Conditions The East Coast Discovery Pass is available for unlimited travel on CountryLink and Queensland Rail Traveltrain east coast services in one direction only, either north or south, between locations endorsed on the ticket. (Travel on the Cairns Tilt Train is applicable however surcharges apply) Travel on Sydney CityRail services is only allowed in conjunction with a connecting CountryLink service Travel is not available on Brisbane Citytrain service and Melbourne metropolitan services Use of this pass must begin within six months of the date of issue and be completed within six months from the first validity date. This pass is available on mainline CountryLink and Queensland Rail East Coast Rail and Integrated Coach services only.

Product on The Backtracker Rail Pass is valid from the first day of travel for either 14 days, 1, 3 or 6 months for consecutive travel in any direction. At least AUD$40 of Sydney CityRail services are included with the Backtracker Rail Pass providing access to the Blue Mountains and Bondi Beach.

Clients should be advised to carry their passports with them at all times as railway staff may wish to check it against the passport numbers endorsed on the pass. The pass is valid for travel in a Red Kangaroo Daynighter Seat, for unlimited travel on the Great Southern Railway network over a six month period, which starts on the day the pass is validated (first day of actual travel). The pass must be validated within 6 month of purchase. Upgrade to sleeping berths is available. Surcharges apply. Rates can be obtained by contacting Rail Australia. Pre-bookings for all trains is required at least 24 hours in advance – phone 13 21 47 (within Australia) The Student/Backpacker fare is available to International full time students 16 years and over. ID from a recognised institution is required. Also available to members of recognised backpacker associations, verification required. Children can obtain the Student/Backpacker fare if required.
